Modern Lens Photography is a small business in Victoria, BC. We follow Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA). Here's what that means for you, in plain words.

What we collect

When you book or send a message: your name, email, phone number, your horse's name, the location of your session, how many horses and riders, and anything you write in the notes. When you open a photo gallery: your name, email and the photos you mark as favourites.

Why

Only to answer your request, plan and deliver your session, and send you your photos. Gallery photos are watermarked until Charlotte sends your favourites; your download link stops working after 60 days. We won't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails unless you separately ask us to.

Who can see it

Charlotte, and the services that run this website: the email provider that delivers our messages and the computer that hosts the site. Some of these services may store data outside Canada, where different laws apply. We never sell or share your information with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep booking details for up to two years after your session (so we can find your gallery again), then delete them. Ask any time and we'll delete them sooner.

Photos

We may share favourite images from sessions and shows in our portfolio and on Instagram. If you'd rather we didn't share photos of you, your children or your horse, just tell us.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email charlottehesketh258@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
